Has a long-standing bug - this is why 3 stars vs 5. The end of some downloads are not detected. Rather than timeout and close the file after a reasonable period, Chrono Download Manager just leaves the file "stuck". This means I have to go into my downloads and rename the stuck file, with its proper extension and then I can treat it as fully downloaded. Chrono Download Manager should just have a rule... if downloaded bytes do not increase within 20 seconds, pop up a dialog saying this file may now be complete - mark it as complete? Then close the file instead of leaving it hanging.
I have been using this extension for years and I like it very much, but lately it started popping up notifications about how I have to update Chrome. No, I do not. What I can do is uninstall extensions that pop up notifications I can't turn off. You have a specific area in the options for notifications, but no way to turn off this particular annoying and useless popup. Please do something about it. Thanks.

excellent extension
The rule system is a complicated one for non-CODING human. it is so complicated to the point it defeats the fact of having the extension to begin with. can you simplify it... and with every updates it wipes out all rule you created
Needs a dark mode, it's 2024... it's just too bright and thus unusable for me.

You can not see wether your download is downloading or not. You need to do few clicks to find out. First you need to click on three dots on top right corner of google chrome. Then click on downloads. This gonna open new window/page where if your download has started you will see it. This is such an absurd, unreal.

If I resume a download (which failed for some reason) from the Chrome download history pop-up, the download still shows as failed in Chrono's download manager. So it looks like it failed but is, in fact, downloading, except with no way to interact with the download inside Chrono. Aside from this annoyance, a good download manager.

(4.5 stars, actually) I am really liking this extension. I am only having 1 issue and not sure if I'm just missing something or if it's a glitch/bug. I had shut off the notifications however I'd like to put them back on. I've checked all settings, made sure they were set to allow the notifications to show up in the bottom left of my screen however it does the little ding sound but no notification window. Help?? I even tried to reset the extension and it didn't help.
